DR. VOORHEIS

Education: UC Davis

Dr. Dennis Voorheis received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from Cal Poly Pomona and received his veterinary degree from University of California at Davis.

Dr. Voorheis has a special interest in Oncology, Surgery and Canine Physical Rehabilitation and has recently received his CCRT from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute which makes him a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. . He has been a veterinarian at Washington Boulevard Animal Hospital since 1983 (however worked at WBAH as an assistant while attending Cal Poly prior to that!)

Dr. Voorheis has 4 dogs and 2 cats. In his free time he enjoys backpacking, hiking, cycling and baseball.

DR. TO

Education: Ohio State

Dr. Dominic To was born in Hong Kong, China and raised in California. He received his BS degree from UCLA in Molecular Cell Development Biology as well as a Masters in Education. He worked as a high school science teacher before he went on to become a veterinarian. He attended Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. To has a special interest in Surgery and has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2009.

Dr. To has 2 cats of his own; Iodine and Copper.

DR. HUSAIN

Education: Ross University

Dr. Sara Husain was born and raised in California. She received a BS from UC Irvine and an MS from Cal Poly Pomona. She received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Husain has a special interest in Internal Medicine and sees several species of pets including pocket pets. Dr. Husain has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2003.

Dr. Husain has 3 cats of her own; Benny, Charlie and Zoe. Dr. Husain loves traveling and is an avid Yankee fan.

DR. DE LA CAL

Education: Western University

Dr. Daniella De La Cal was born and raised right here in Whittier, CA. She went to Cal Poly for her undergraduate studies. She received her veterinary degree from The College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University. Dr. De La Cal has been with Washington Boulevard Animal Hospital, prior to becoming a veterinarian, since 2001.

She has 5 pets of her own; Annie, Nano, Makayla, Bausley and Captain Nemo.

Dr. Belluz

Education: Ross University

Dr. Andrea Belluz was born and raised in La Mirada, Ca. She did her undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount and received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Belluz has a special interest in surgery and pocket pets and has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2014.

In her free time, Dr. Belluz enjoys traveling and cooking and spending time with her dog Bourbon.

Dr. Casida

Education: Ross University

Dr. Ashley Casida was born and raised in La Habra, California. She received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and worked her Clinical year at Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Casida has a special interest in Canine Physical Rehabilitation and has recently received her CCRT from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute which makes her a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. Dr. Casida has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2015.

Dr. Casida enjoys hiking, kayaking and going to the dog beach with her 5 year old Border Collie mix, Tucker. Dr. Casida also loves to snuggle with her Pug/Chihuahua mix, Whiskey, who she adopted when he was surrendered here at WBAH.

Dr. I

Education: Massey University

Dr. Judy I (or Dr. Judy as we like to call her) was born in Taiwan and raised in Taiwan, South Africa and Singapore. She did her undergraduate studies at UCLA and received her veterinary degree from Massey University in New Zealand.

Dr. Judy has a special interest in dentistry and preventative medicine and has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2016.

In her free time, Dr. Judy enjoys reading and playing computer games. Dr. Judy has 3 cats of her own whose names are Arthas, Illidan and Nom Nom.

DR. THROGMORTON

Education: Michigan State University

Dr. Throgmorton graduated from Michigan State University's School of Veterinary Medicine and practiced in Michigan and Colorado before joining Washington Blvd Animal Hospital more than 35 years ago. Dr. Throgmorton was also involved in organized veterinary medicine, serving with the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association and also with the Insurance Committee of the CVMA. Dr."T" has always been a true professional, dedicated to improving his medicine and his craft. His medical standards raised the entire hospital standard of practice. He has always been truly committed to lifelong learning. Dr. "T" was a key player in the decision to build a new hospital facility. Away from work, Dr. T was a talented racquetball player for many years and enjoys his time with family and friends in Las Vegas. Dr. Throgmorton retired from WBAH in 2016 after practicing veterinary medicine for more than 40 years. He is truly missed.
